END_OBJECT = TEXT END This directory contains Voyager 1 PWS spectrum analyzer 48-second averaged wave electric field intensity data. These data were recorded during the Voyager 1 Jupiter encounter period, 1979-02-28 to 1979-03-22. The data are stored as 4 ASCII tables (.TAB), each covering about one week of data and named for the day on which the interval covered begins. File naming follows the convention Tyymmdd where yy = the last two digits of the year (79 for 1979), mm = month of year, and dd = day of month. Each data file has a PDS label file (.LBL) which describes properties of the data file. There is a single format file (PWSDATA.FMT) which describes the columns of the data files. The file DATASET.TXT contains a more detailed description of data set contents.
