Non-Standard Practices
The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum
file for a volume. We have placed it in the root dietary of the volume
with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT". This may be considered invalid by some
verifiers.

Version 1.1 Voyager Data Sets
Some of the Voyager data sets were previously archived with
the PDS and NSSDC as version 1.0. Changes to the version 1.1 data sets
generally include minor changes to the style of the time column and flag
values, and upgrading of labels and catalog templates to PDS version 3.
These version 1.1 data sets supersede any previously archived data sets.

ASCII data file record formats
ASCII data tables contained in this volume are fixed width and space
delimited. The PDS Standards recommend using fixed width comma delimited
fields in ASCII tables. In general this recommendation was not followed in
order to provide data in the same format in which they were originally
provided to PDS.

/DOCUMENT/*/*.ASC and /DOCUMENT/*/*.PDF files
Copies of previously published documents found on the /DOCUMENT/ sub-
directories contain some known misspellings. These either result from
misspellings that follow the original documents or else errors introduced in
the conversion of these documents to ASCII and PDF format.

/CATALOG/VG_*_PERSON.CAT
In the CATALOG/VG_*_PERSON.CAT file the PERSONNEL_INFORMATION object contains
the element NOTE which is neither required nor optional, but does provide the
user with valuable information.

SPLASH Software limitations
The version of SPLASH that was available at the time of the production of
this volume was unable to correctly resolve ARRAY, and CONTAINER objects and
repeated ITEMS. As a result, some files or columns may not plot correctly for
the following data: LECP Sectored, ephemeris SEDR (both HG and S3), PRA
Browse, PWS 48S and 4S. For information on new versions of SPLASH, please
contact the PDS Operator at the PDS/PPI node (see contact information below).
