Introduction

This document contains information pertaining to the Voyager 2 Plasma Science      
Experiment (PLS) Jupiter Data Bundle, which contains data recorded and             
submitted to the Planetary Data System (PDS) by Voyager PLS investigators.         
This bundle includes derived values of the electron density and moment             
temperature at Jupiter during the encounter in the PLS voltage range               
10-5950 eV/q, solar wind plasma data upstream of Jupiter before the                
encounter with fit and moment parameters, plasma parameters from the inbound       
magnetosheath and outbound data from the magnetotail through the solar wind,       
plasma parameters outbound from Jupiter from the magnetotail through the           
solar wind with fit and moment parameters, and 96 second averages of the ion       
moment density.                                                                    
                                                                                   
This bundle is organized into several collections, including                       
data-ele-moments, data-inbndwind, data-ion-l-mode, data-ion-m-mode,                
data-ion-moments, browse-ele-moments, browse-inbndwind, browse-ion-l-mode,         
browse-ion-m-mode, browse-ion-moments and document. PDS4 documentation is          
all XML. There is an XML label for every product in the archive.

These data sets were originally archived under PDS3 in the VG_1502 volume.         
                                                                                   
Under the PDS3 standard all archives were self contained and could in              
principle be stored in a single file system (disk, CD-ROM, etc.).  PDS4 takes      
advantage of the network capabilities that allow archives to be distributed.       
As a result, some of the documents and metadata previously stored in the           
PDS3 catalog files are no longer maintained locally, but are  maintained in        
a central repository.  Those files are referenced by unique PDS logical            
identifiers that are included in the document collection inventory.

The errata document describes the deficiencies found in the version 1.0 data       
product labels.                                                                    
                                                                                   
Version 1.1 of the Voyager 2 Plasma Science Experiment (PLS) Jupiter Data Bundle   
has no know errors or deficiencies at this time.                                   
                                                                                   
Every effort has been made to insure that the data are of the best quality         
available. However, users are encouraged to verify the correctness of the data     
prior to submitting any publications or other work based on these data and report
