Ulysses Trajectory Bundle Readme 1992-01-25 to 1992-02-17 Planetary Plasma Interactions Discipline Node of the Planetary Data System Introduction ============ This document contains information pertaining to the SPICE ephemeris data submitted to the Planetary Data System (PDS) by NAIF, for the Ulysses Trajectory Bundle. This bundle is organized into two collections, including: data and document. PDS4 documentation is in all XML. There is an XML label for every product in the archive. Ulysses Trajectory Data Collection ================================== This data collection contains two versions of trajectory data. The first version contains position and attitude data provided by Ulysses MAG team. The second version was generated at the PDS/PPI node (UCLA) which includes trajectory data and spacecraft local time. This is a PDS4 archive of the following PDS3 data set: ULY-J-EPHEM-6-SUMM-SYS3/ECL50-V1.0 (https://doi.org/10.17189/1519848). This volume was originally a part of the remake of the PDS volume ULY_5001 that was produced for the ESA Special Publication 1230. Under the PDS3 standard all archives were self contained and could in principle be stored in a single file system (disk, CD-ROM, etc.). PDS4 takes advantage of the network capabilities that allow archives to be distributed. As a result, some of the documents and metadata previously stored in the PDS3 catalog files are no longer maintained locally, but are maintained in a central repository. Those files are referenced by unique PDS logical identifiers that are included in the document collection inventory. Errata ====== There were no known deficiencies or errors reported in the errata.txt files under PDS3. During the migration from PDS3 to PDS4 no issues were found and corrected in the PDS4 metadata. The data remain unchanged. Contacts ======== This bundle was produced for the Planetary Data System (PDS) at the Planetary Plasma Interactions (PPI) node.
