Ulysses Interstellar Neutral Gas Experiment Bundle 1991-07-22 to 1991-07-23 Planetary Plasma Interactions Discipline Node of the Planetary Data System Introduction ============ This document contains information pertaining to Ulysses interstellar neutral gas (GAS) experiment sky maps of the count rates of interstellar helium particles (in the NG-mode) or from celestial UV-intensities (UV-mode), for the Ulysses Jupiter Encounter GAS Bundle. This bundle is organized into several collections, including: browse-gif, browse-pdf, data and document. PDS4 documentation is in all XML. There is an XML label for every product in the archive. Ulysses Interstellar Neutral Gas Experiment Sky Maps Browse Collection ====================================================================== This collection contains the sky maps produced during the Ulysses interstellar neutral gas (GAS) experiment in GIF AND PDF/A files. Ulysses Interstellar Neutral Gas Experiment Sky Maps Data Collection ==================================================================== The data collection contains Ulysses interstellar neutral gas (GAS) experiment sky maps of the count rates of interstellar helium particles (in the NG-mode) or from celestial UV-intensities (UV-mode) This is a PDS4 archive of the following PDS3 data sets: ULY-J-GAS-5-SKY-MAPS-V1.0 (https://doi.org/10.17189/1519849). Under the PDS3 standard all archives were self contained and could in principle be stored in a single file system (disk, CD-ROM, etc.). PDS4 takes advantage of the network capabilities that allow archives to be distributed. As a result, some of the documents and metadata previously stored in the PDS3 catalog files are no longer maintained locally, but are maintained in a central repository. Those files are referenced by unique PDS logical identifiers that are included in the document collection inventory. Errata ====== There were no known deficiencies or errors reported in the errata.txt files under PDS3. During the migration from PDS3 to PDS4 no issues were found and corrected in the PDS4 metadata. The data remain unchanged. Contacts ======== This bundle was produced for the Planetary Data System (PDS) at the Planetary Plasma Interactions (PPI) node.
