Radio JOVE Station HNRAO FSX8S Raw Data PDS Archive Bundle LID = urn:nasa:pds:radiojove-hnrao-fsx8sraw Bundle Description ================== Overview -------- The Station HNRAO FSX8S Raw CDF Science Data Bundle contains data from radio telescope observations made at the Hawk's Nest Radio Astronomy Observatory (HNRAO) as part of the Radio JOVE project. Version History --------------- Bundle Modification Version Date Description ------- ------------ --------------------------------------------------- 1.0 2020-06-19 Initial version of data in CDF format 1.1 2020-12-02 Initial version of data in CDF format with changes in documentation 1.11 2021-05-24 New document added Important Note to Users ======================= These data are under review. They are in the final stages of lien resolution in a peer review by the PPI Node. Data users should use these data with caution, and can revisit this file to learn of the current status of the data. Further information and documentation relevant to these data can be found on the Radio JOVE website at https://radiojove.gsfc.nasa.gov and on the Spectrograph Users Group (SUG) webpage linked from that site's home page. Also, please see the "General Information and Guidance" document in this data bundle for further details. The following caveats may apply to these data in their current form: - The naming convention for the variables in the CDF files may not be final. - Calibration information is contained in the data, but has not been flagged as such. - Information about global attributes may be improved in future releases. - There may be periods when an instrument is saturated. Documentation on these periods may be included in future releases. - The PDS labels for data and documentation files are provisional and may be corrected and updated soon. - The documentation for these data and for the instruments is still under development. New information on calibration, antenna beam patterns, timing, and other topics is expected to be added in upcoming versions of the bundle. Meanwhile, please see the Radio JOVE website (cited above) for further information. Data Processing Notes ===================== History of CDF files ------------------ The data in these CDF data files were obtained from the original FSX8S raw data files, which were in SPS format. Bundle Contents =============== Collections ----------- This bundle includes one collection: * FSX8S Raw - FSX8S data from Station HNRAO, in CDF format. Data File Naming ---------------- Data files in this bundle are named according to the following convention: radiojove_hnrao_tfd_fsx8s_sps_
_v.cdf where: = 4-digit year of data coverage date = 2-digit month of year of data coverage date
= 2-digit day of month of data coverage date = 2-digit CDF file version Key Documents ============= Brown, J., HNRAO System Diagram - This document gives detailed information about the HNRAO Observatory. The document is located in the document collection for this bundle (LID = urn:nasa:pds:radiojove-aj4co-dps:document:aj4co-observatory-diagram-20170225). Contacts ======== This volume was produced for the Planetary Data System (PDS) at the Planetary Plasma Interactions (PPI) Node at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The data were collected by Jim Brown of Hawk's Nest Radio Astronomy Observatory (HNRAO). The CDF data files were generated from the original SPS data files, and delivered to the PPI Node, by Jim Sky of Radio Sky Publishing. The PDS labels were generated at the PPI Node.
