Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) Extreme Ultraviolet Moniter (EUV) Derived PDS Archive Bundle LID = urn:nasa:pds:maven.euv.derived Bundle Description ================== Overview -------- This bundle of products is science quality data that are derived from EUV solar occultation measurements. It comprises the derived data product for the EUV instrument. In the production process information such as spacecraft attitude has been considered. There is only one collection/product in the EUV derived bundle. The production and validation is the EUV instrument team's responsibility. Version History --------------- Bundle Modification Version Date Description ------- ------------ --------------------------------------------------- 1.0 2025-02-13 First release of this bundle, part of Maven Release 40 (2025-02-14). 2.0 2025-06-03 Part of Maven Release 41 (2025-05-15) First release of data from 2014-11-17 to 2024-06-14 and 2024-12-28 to 2025-02-14 and redelivery of data from 2024-08-22 to 2024-10-23. Bundle Contents =============== Collections ----------- This bundle includes the following collections: * data.occultations - derived atmospheric number density (in cm-3) and temperature (in K) measured at the tangent point of the MAVEN-Sun line and Mars atmosphere. (LID = urn:nasa:pds:maven.euv.derived:occultations) Data File Naming ---------------- Data files in this bundle are named according to the following convention: mvn_euv_l4_occultations___
_v_r.csv where: = The orbit number = The orbit segment, either “in” or “out” for inbound or outbound eclipse transition, respectively = 4-digit year of data coverage date = 2-digit month of year of data coverage date
= 2-digit day of month of data coverage date = 2-digit software version = 2-digit data file version under the specified software version Key Documents ============= Eparvier, F.G., MAVEN EUV PDS Archive SIS - This document describes the format and content of the Extreme Ultraviolet monitor (EUV) Planetary Data System (PDS) data archive. It includes descriptions of the data products and associated metadata, and the archive format, content, and generation pipeline. It is located document collection of the MAVEN EUV bundle (LID = urn:nasa:pds:maven.euv:document:sis). Contacts ======== This archive was produced for the Planetary Data System (PDS) at the Planetary Plasma Interactions (PPI) node at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The data files were generated by Dr. Frank Eparvier at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) in Boulder, Colorado. The data were delivered to the PPI node via the MAVEN Science Data Center (SDC) also located at the LASP in Boulder, Colorado. The PDS metadata were generated at the PPI node. For questions regarding this archive, please contact the PDS PPI Node: Email pds_operator@igpp.ucla.edu For question regarding the data, please contact Dr. Frank Eparvier: Internet Frank.Eparvier@lasp.colorado.edu For questions regarding PDS Standards or other archives available from the PDS, please contact PDS Operator at the PDS Engineering Node (at JPL): Email pds_operator@jpl.nasa.gov Telephone 818-354-4321 The PDS assumes no legal liability for errors on this archive. All users are encouraged to verify the correctness of the data prior to submitting any publications or other work based on these data.
