The InSight IFG (InSight Fluxgate Magnetometer) new calibration bundle replaces the previous InSight IFG archive. All of the IFG data files have been updated and a new data collection has been added. There are no changes to any of the data file structures so there is no need for users to update any codes that are used to display or analyze the data. The only changes to the raw data are in the values of the model temperature and solar array current columns - IFG columns are unchanged. The magnetic field values have changed in the partially processed and calibrated data files but the changes are generally small. Users should refer to the InSight_IFG_Data_Udated_Calibration_Description and the Insight_IFG_SIS documents for the details of the new data processing. Note: There were no changes to any of the data products in the data-sc-engineering collection so those data are not repeated here. Users will find those data in the original archive bundle urn:nasa:pds:insight-ifg-mars. Note: These files have completed PDS peer review and many changes have been made to the review products. However, these are mostly limited to updates in the meta-data and documents. The InSight IFG (InSight Fluxgate Magnetometer) new calibration bundle contains several collections, each of which is briefly described below: document: Documents that should be considered required reading for this bundle. Insight_IFG_SIS - This document describes the archive contents and structure, from science objectives, to file naming conventions, to what's stored in byte 78 of file XXX.tab InSight_IFG_Data_Calibration - This document describes processing pipelines that produced the original (v06) data products and the new (v07) data products. The ground data calibration and the types data artifacts and their removal has not changed so users are referred to the InSight_IFG_Data_Calibration_Description document in the urn:nasa:pds:insight-ifg-mars:document collection for that information. InSight_IFG_Data_Uncorrected_Artifacts - This is a new document that describes several types of data artifacts and our failed attempts to remove them and why we failed. This document may be useful to users who would like to improve the artifact removal for a small set of files for a particular study. SA_Current_Fits - A text file that gives the time varying polynomial coefficients that describe the solar array current corrections applied to the IFG data. TemperatureFits - A text file that gives the time varying (one set per release) polynomial coefficients that describe the temperature corrections applied to the IFG data. destep.txt - Psuedo-code that was used to remove long duration compound steps in the raw to partially processed data processing pipeline software. ReleaseNotes - A text files that describes the various InSight data releases. browse: A collection of PNG plots of the data, one plot per calibrated data file. calib: A collection of files (one per release) that contain the corrections to the IFG data (delta-B's) that have been applied to the data, and the model and actual temperature and current values used to compute those corrections. data-ifg-raw: This collection contains the raw IFG magnetic field vectors and some of the ancillary data parameters that are required for data calibration and processing. Data are stored as ASCII tables with column headers in line 1. data-ifg-partially-processed: A collection of partially processed data. These data have been converted to units of nanoTesla and have had diurnal variations that are correlated with the spacecraft systems removed. Data are provided in IFG instrument and spacecraft coordinates. Data are stored as ASCII tables with column headers in line 1. data-ifg-calibrated: A collection of calibrated data files that are provided in spacecraft and geophysical (north, east, down) coordinates. Any artifact identification and removal that can be done at the time of a given InSight data release has been applied to these data. In addition, these files contain a data quality flag that tells the user what (if any) corrections have been applied to the data and which artifact types remain present. Data are stored as ASCII tables with column headers in line 1. data-ifg-calibrated-mav-20Hz: A collection of calibrated 20Hz data files acquired during flyovers of the MAVEN spacecraft. These files have had additional hand data processing to remove some of the spacecraft artifacts from the data files. Hovever, not all files could be corrected and 24 of 95 still have significant artifacts.
