The error report states: "START_TIME only accepts a type of TIME and value *** was interpreted as a TextString". However, the Dataset.Cat file explains that all dates and times reported in this dataset are in the Moscow winter timezone, not UTC. This time zone is currently three hours ahead of UTC. Times have not been converted into UTC. See CATALOG/V15_V16_ROE_DS.CAT for more information. In DATA/*.LBL - there are 29 Unknown_Keyword validation errors. The error reports: "No definition was found for the keyword PPI_SOLAR_ZENITH_ANGLE". These are known and accepted errors. The PPI_SOLAR_ZENITH_ANGLE keyword is not considered valid by the current PDS3 volume validation tools. Definition: PPI_SOLAR_ZENITH_ANGLE - the angle measured from directly overhead to the geometric centre of the sun's disc, as described using a horizontal coordinate system. The solar elevation angle is the altitude of the sun, the angle between the horizon and the centre of the sun's disc. In DOCUMENT/GMA-2009_1223.LBL there is a validation error due to the length of the document name. "Detection of Ionospheric Layers in the Dayside Ionosphere of Venus at Altitudes of 80 to 120 km from Venera 15 and 16 Two Frequency Radio Occultation Results", 157 characters, is greater than the acceptable maximum length of "120" for "DOCUMENT_NAME" with the type "CHARACTER". Non-Standard Practices The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum file for a volume. We have placed it in the root dietary of the volume with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT". This may be considered invalid by some verifiers.
