PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2001-08-01 NOTE = "Describes the contents of this directory." END_OBJECT = TEXT END The DOCUMENT directory contains documents describing the Ulysses mission, SCE instrument, and data provided on this data archive. Five documents are provided: two in the DOCUMENT directory itself, and 3 in separate sub- directories. The 'SYMBOLS' sub-directory contains GIF images of characters not included in the HTML coded character set. While these GIFs are used by HTMLs versions of some of the documents, the SYMBOLS directory contains no files needed by the user in and of themselves. ASCII text versions with all graphics removed (*.ASC and *.TXT) are provided for all of these documents. In addition, both HTML versions with tables and figures embedded (*.HTM), and scanned GIF images (*.GIF) are included for some of the documents. The HTML and GIF files should be viewed with an HTML browser, or image viewer respectively. File naming conventions are described in the INFO.TXT file located directory in which they occur. The viewability of some of these images may depend significantly upon the operating system and the viewer used to view them. Specifically, they are best viewed on a color monitor. key files: DOCINFO.TXT (this file) describes directory contents Document description: MISSION/MISSION Wenzel, et al. (pg. 207-219)*.
