The month, day, hour, minute and seconds were correctly stated, but the year was almost uniformly set to 1978, the year PVO arrived at Venus. During the process of correcting this error data have been outputted in ASCII to make the data easier to use. 2019-11-13 - The DATA/LOW_RES/ORB_4200_4299/ 4267_ORPA_LOW_RES.TAB file was found to contain the word FLAG instead of a flag value. This error was corrected. 2020-05-21 - It was discovered that the "month/day" in the time tags believed to be correct when the year issue was fixed in Nov. 2019 are actually off by one day. This issue was discovered and reported to PPI by Christopher Fowler on 2020-05-19 and the confirmed on 5/21. At this time the error is still present in the data and all users should apply a shift of minus 86400 seconds (1 day) to any data until these data are corrected. The data will corrected and replaced as soon as possible. 2023-02-02 - 2 data files, DATA/ION_UNCERTAINTY/ORB_3600_3699/ 3670_ORPA_HR_ION_UNC.TAB and 3674_ORPA_HR_ION_UNC.TAB, were found to have extremely large values in a single record and were changed. The data values were set to the flag value 9.99999. Non-standard practices The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum file for a volume. We have placed it in the root directory of the volume with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT". This may be considered invalid by some verifiers.
