                   EXTRAS Directory Contents                                  
                                                                              
The EXTRAS directory contains subdirectories of IDFS_DATA and SPICE_DATA      
that are used as input files for generating the MEX ASPERA-3 data releases.   
The IDFS_DATA_* subdirectories and contents are in zip files and have         
corresponding label files.  A new IDFS_DATA_* zip file and corresponding      
label are added for each data release.  The new IDFS_DATA_* zip file          
contains the IDFS data that are used to generate this data release.           
                                                                              
The files listed below are found in this directory.                           
                                                                              
EXTRINFO.TXT  - The file you are reading.                                     
                                                                              
IDFS_DATA_<time period>.ZIP - Zip files of the IDFS_DATA_<time period>        
                              directories containing subdirectories of        
                              the IDFS database and data files used as        
                              input to generate the PDS files, where          
                                                                              
                              time period = 'NEV', 'IC', or MMMYYYY           
                                      MMM is 3-character month, and           
                                     YYYY is 4-digit year.                    
                                                                              
                              It is important to note that the 'NEV'          
                              and 'IC' time periods do NOT correspond         
                              to the Mission defined time periods.            
                              For ASPERA-3, the 'NEV' time period is          
                              when data are sampled closer to Earth,          
                              so EARTH is used as the reference target.       
                              The 'IC' time period is when data are           
                              taken closer to Mars during cruise but          
                              before the first Mars orbit.

SPICE_DATA    - Directory containing the CK, FK, IK, LSK, ORBNUM, PCK,        
                SCLK, and SPK subdirectories of SPICE kernels used in         
                describing the geometry and position information of the       
                data files in the archive volume.
