Non-standard practices The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum file for a volume. We have placed it in the root directory of the volume with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT". This may be considered invalid by some verifiers. =========================================================================== This dataset was originally part of a CD volume set containging several different Lunar Prospector datasets across several volumes. The following is the original errata for that volume set: General comments 1. Many of the documents provided to the PDS by the LP project were available only in PDF format. Resources were not available to convert these documents to an ASCII text form. Thus, some of the documents on this volume may be at variance with the PDS standard that requires an ASCII text version of each archive document. 2. The data on this volume were derived with the help of Lunar Prospector Level 1B and Level 0 data. Users desiring information on these data sets should consult the Lunar Prospector Level 1B and Level 0 volumes in the PDS archive. Comments specific to this volume 1. The high level Lunar Prospector data belong to three distinct levels of processing. Throughout most of the documentation and labels and elsewhere on the volume, these levels are referred to as Levels 2, 3, and 4. However according to the CODMAC standard of data processing levels used by the PDS, these data belong to CODMAC levels 4 and 5. These CODMAC levels are used in the DATA_SET_IDs for the data sets and are mentioned in documentation files when necessary. 2. The columns in the Level 2 MAG data may be described incorrectly in the label files (*.LBL). The correct order of columns is: date, B_east, B_north, B_radial, B_xsg, B_ysg, B_zsg, latitude, longitude, approx. altitude. 3. Some label files for ER data may list the instrument name incorrectly as Magnetometer. 4. Some of the personnel listings on this volume may be incomplete or subject to update.
