Trigger 7C Description

Sequence: C14 (Venus-2) (ESB)
Trigger 7C (Venus-2 Observation with mS and WBR)

This mode cycles the HFR through Venus-2 analysis and mS mode, while adding WBR data (LFR, WFR,
and MFR data is also obtained). This trigger must be sent after Trigger 74, and cannot be issued stand-alone.
This trigger is designed to work with Triggers 78 and 7A (i.e. Trigger 74 must be used for initial setup, but
Triggers 78 and/or Trigger 7A may occur prior to Trigger 7C). Setup in this mode requires about 4 seconds. The
HFR millisecond mode is cycled through 3 frequencies (9125 kHz, 1525 kHz, and 5325 kHz), with 32 seconds of
HFR mS data at each of these frequencies seperated by 32 seconds of analysis mode HFR data (see Trigger 7A).
The WBR collects 2048 samples every 0.625 seconds during this mode.

Receiver Frequency Range Sensors Cycle Time
LFR 1 - 25 Hz EX, BX 16 seconds
MFR 25 - 12 KHz EX, BZ 32 seconds
WFR 0.1 - 2.5 KHz EX, EW, BX, BY, BZ 342 seconds
WBR
0.1 - 10.5 KHz EX 0.625 seconds
HFR analysis 3.6 KHz - 16 MHz EX 2.5 seconds
HFR mS
9125, 1525, 5325 kHz EX 1.375 seconds

The HFR analysis mode is defined by:

          Correlations Channels Integ. Size Frequency
Band Ant. Auto- Cross- per Band df Period Rep Steps kHz Start - Stop

H1 1E n n 1 n 20 1 12 350 125 kHz-3.975 MHz
H2 1E n n 1 n 10 1 8 1500 5.47 5MHz-15.975 MHz

The HFR is free-running, resulting in:
Bands ABC require 0.242 sec to complete, H1 requires 0.242 sec, and H2 requires 0.098 sec
for a total of 2.33 sec per sweep. However, the HFR actually only performs one complete
sweep every 2.5 seconds.

The HFR mS mode is defined as a fixed frequency (9125, 1525, and 5325 kHz), 1024 samples taken at a
rate of 1 mS obtained every 1.375 seconds, fo 32 seconds.

The resulting HFR modes are:
9125 kHz mS mode (32 seconds)
HFR free run (32 seconds)
1525 kHz mS mode (32 seconds)
HFR free run (32 seconds)
5325 kHz mS mode (32 seconds)
HFR free run (32 seconds)
