PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2004-01-01 NOTE = "This file describes the contents of this directory." END_OBJECT = TEXT END This directory contains the Voyager 1 MAG 1.92, 9.6, and 48.0 second averaged magnetic field data in heliographic (RTN) and Kronographic (L1) coordinates, during the Saturn encounter period of 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-21. The L1 coordinates is a Saturn centered spherical system, based on the Saturn Longitude System (Voyager Measurements of the Rotation Period of Saturn's Magnetic Field, Desch and Kaiser, JGR, 8, 253, 1981). The estimated spacecraft field in payload coordinates is also provided. The data are provided in fixed-width, comma delimited ASCII tables. Detailed data file information is described as below: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- File Name Data Coverage File Contents --------------------------------------------------------------------------- HG_1_92S.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-21 1.92 sec. data in RTN HG_9_6S.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-21 9.6 sec. data in RTN HG_48S.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-20 48.0 sec. data in RTN L1_1_92S.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-18 1.92 sec. data in L1 L1_9_6S.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-18 9.6 sec. data in L1 L1_48S.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-18 48.0 sec. data in L1 SC_FIELD.TAB 1980-11-10 to 1980-11-20 48.0 sec.
