This directory contains Voyager 1 PLS inbound solar wind ion data near        
Jupiter. These data were recorded during the Voyager 1 Jupiter encounter,     
1979-02-15 to 1979-03-02.                                                     
                                                                              
The data are stored in a single ASCII table (T79046.TAB) which is named for   
the day on which the interval covered begins. File naming follows the         
convention Tyyddd where yy = the last two digits of the year (79 for 1979),   
and ddd = day of year. The data file is accompanied by a PDS label file       
(T79046.LBL) which describes the properties of the data file. There is a      
single format file (PLSDATA.FMT) which describes the data file's columns. The 
file DATASET.TXT contains a more detailed description of data set contents.
