This directory contains Voyager 1 PLS 96 second averaged ion moment data.     
These data were recorded during the Voyager 1 Jupiter encounter,              
1979-03-03T12:04:12 to 1979-03-07T16:45:54.                                   
                                                                              
The data are provided as a single ASCII table, named for the day on which     
the interval covered begins (T790301.TAB). File naming follows the convention 
Tyymmdd where yy = the last two digits of the year (79 for 1979), mm = month  
of the year, and dd = day of month. The data file is accompanied by a PDS     
label file (.LBL) which describes the properties of the data file. There is a 
single format file (PLSDATA.FMT) which describes the data file's columns. The 
file DATASET.TXT contains a more detailed description of data set contents.
