The Low Energy Charged Particle (LECP) experiment has provided four datasets
from the Uranus encounter. The first dataset contains 15 minute averages
for each of 4 channels. The second dataset contains 24 second averages
for each of 15 channels. The third dataset contains 15 minute averages
for each of 44 channels. The fourth dataset contains full sweep or step
data which gives directional information about the particle distribution.
These four datasets are contained in the AVERAGE, SCAN, SECTOR and STEP
sub-directories.

Available in this directory are the High Level Catalog Templates: 
  Instrument (INST.CAT),
  Parameter & Parameter Description (PARM.CAT) and 

Also included is the Detailed Level Catalog Template:
  DataSet Quality (DSQUAL.CAT) and
  Insrument Detail (DLC.CAT)

            Voyager 2 LECP Pitchangle data near Uranus.

There is a pitch angle dataset which gives the angle each sector made with
the local magnetic field as a function of time. This dataset is ancillary
to all four datasets provided by the instrument team.

The data cover the time period 1986-01-24T00:00:00 to 1986-01-26T23:59:11.

The data are stored as 1 IGPP flatfile (4 individual files per flatfile).
The data are in the '.DAT' files which are described to the PPI
software by the '.DES', '.ABS', and '.HED' files.  Each data file
has a PDS label file (.LBL) which describes some of the physical
properties of the data.  There is a single format file (.FMT) which
describes the columns of the data files.
