IBM PC binary version of the SPICE SPK kernel for the Ulysses Jupiter encounter, ULY92106S.SPK. This file covers the dates 1992-01-25 to 1995-10-30, and includes ephemeris information for the Sun, Earth, Earth system barycenter, Jupiter, Jupiter system barycenter, Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto as well as for the Ulysses spacecraft. This file allows one to compute the position and velocity (the state vector) of any one of these "bodies" relative to any of the others. The state returned can be geometric (no corrections) or corrected for light time and/or stellar aberration. The state vector is returned in any of a number of inertial reference frames, as selected by the user; examples are B1950 and J2000. Transformation of this state vector to Jupiter body-fixed coordinates in the IAU-specified Jupiter System III can be accomplished by using the PCONST.KER file also contained in this GEOMETRY sub-directory. Getting state vectors and converting to Jupiter System III coordinates may both be accomplished using NAIF Toolkit software. Users desiring more information about SPICE or obtaining the NAIF Toolkit should check NAIF's anonymous ftp site at naif-sun.jpl.nasa.gov (see the file /pub/naif/AAREADME). PDS/PPI is also aware of software currently being developed which will perform transformations between various Jovian coordinate systems as well as adding trajectory information in the new coordinate system. In order to function, this software requires the presence of the SPICE kernel included here. This software is *not* available through NAIF. Users interested in this coordinate transformation software should contact pds_operator@igpp.ucla.edu.
