This directory contains documents important to understanding the Ulysses
DDS experiment and its data sets. Documents are stored in two forms:
ASCII text version (.ASC) with all graphics missing, and HTML (.HTM)
versions with figures and tables embedded within the document. In addition
the tables and figures from each document have been scanned electronically
and are stored on this directory as 'GIF89A' images. The viewability of these
images depends highly upon the operating system and the viewer used to view
them. Specifically, they appear best when viewed on a color monitor.

The "urapsoundersequence" files contain copies of a document, by Robert
MacDowell and Roger Hess, describes the Ulysses URAP active sounding sequence
list and the effect of the URAP sounder on the Ulysses Dust Detector System
(UDDS). This is the Adobe Acrobat version of the document.  Note that the UDDS
data file dpf90-05.out referred to in this document is an earlier version of
the data file archived in the PDS under the filename ulyddust.tab.
