Executables are available for in the directory ===================================================================== SOLARIS SOFTWARE/SOLARIS Sun OS 4.x (on a SparcStation) SOFTWARE/SUNOS HP (UNIX) SOFTWARE/HPUX PC (DOS) SOFTWARE/DOS Source code for other users can be found in the directory SOFTWARE/SOURCE. NOTE: VAX users should obtain software from UCLASP::DISK$SCRATCH:[PDSUSER.SOFTWARE] since the executables do not transfer correctly onto the VAX. For users of other operating systems that have C compilers that support ANSI C, use code and recompile with some changes to the Makefile (i.e shell dependancy, Cshell vs. Bourne Shell). For users with no ANSI C compiler, the GNU C Compiler, GCC, supports ANSI C and can be acquired at either ftp.uu.net (192.48.96.9), wuarchive.wustl.edu (128.252.135.4), or many other major anonymous ftp sites. Other more general software will be available in the future through our anonymous FTP account. In order to obtain software from the Node, access the ftp-anonymous account on ftp.igpp.ucla.edu (128.97.68.41). The software is located in the /pds/SOFTWARE directory. The PPI Node of PDS supports platforms which run under the following operating systems: VAX, SOLARIS, SunOS, DOS, and HPUX. Software to run on each of these platforms can be found in the sub-directories bearing those names. There is a file in this directory, FTP.TXT, which lists some of the software available by ftp.
