This directory contains the Radio Science Original Data Records (ODR's) for
the middle of occultation season 8 (passes 2284-2359) containing passes
2317-2331 which covers the time period 1984-09-20 to 1984-10-05.
The data files are organized as single occultation events which are 
byte-for-byte dumps of the ODR tapes provided by the DSN. The naming convention
for each file follows the tape labeling convention ODRXYYY.ODR where the "X"
is the occultation season and the "YYY" is the day of year. Every data file 
has an associated PDS label file which describes the data file. The format of 
the data files is described in the file ODR_FMT.TXT which is an ascii text 
version of the NASA document 820-13; Rev A, RSC 11-9 "DSN System Requirements
Detailed Interface Design 04/88"

Also available in the DOCUMENT directory off the root of this disk is a TIFF 
version of the original document (1 TIFF file per document page). The  
DOCINFO.TXT file explains the various methods of viewing the TIFF files.

In addition to the data and label files there is an index file which contains
information from the exterior tape label. The fields in this file include the
