PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = FIXED_LENGTH RECORD_BYTES = 80 OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2007-09-12 NOTE = "Description of contents of INDEX directory" END_OBJECT = TEXT END The INDEX directory contains an index for this CD-WO volume (INDEX.TAB) and a PDS label (INDEX.LBL). The *.TAB file is an ASCII file. Each line (or record) in INDEX.TAB contains information about a single data file in this data archive volume. Records have 116 bytes each; the last two bytes are an ASCII carriage-return line-feed pair which delimits the line. Each line in the *.TAB file is made up of six comma-delimited fixed-length fields. Three fields contain character strings, which are enclosed by double quotes. The other three fields contain date/time information; those values are NOT enclosed by quotes. The *.LBL label file describes the format and content of the *.TAB file at the byte level. Simply stated, the fields are: identifier of the volume path name to the PDS detached label for each data file name of the data file start date/time of the data in the file stop date/time of the data in the file creation date/time of the data file
