      The DOCUMENT directory contains documentation on the archival data      
set and files within the data set.                                            
                                                                              
     Each file is in ASCII; except where indicated, there are 80 characters   
per line in each file.  Each line is delimited with a carriage-return (ASCII  
13) line-feed (ASCII 10) pair.                                                
                                                                              
                                                                              
     The following are present on each volume.  They include Software         
Interface Specifications describing either the volume or Standard Data

     A brief description of the files within the DOCUMENT directory (this

RSADCSDP.TXT                                                                  
                                                                              
     A Software Interface Specification (SIS) for the archival volume.  This  
document describes the structure and content of the volume.

     The SIS for files containing temperature-pressure profiles derived from  
radio occultation measurements.  Two versions of the profiles are covered:    
standard resolution (data type TPS) and high-resolution (TPH).

     The SIS for Occultation Summary files.  Two versions of the file are     
covered: files containing summaries of standard resolution profiles (data

EDS.TXT                                                                       
                                                                              
     The SIS for ionospheric electron density profiles, produced occasionally 
as a by-product of the radio occultation investigation.  Two versions of the  
profiles are covered: standard resolution data (data type EDS) and            
high-resolution (EDH).                                                        
                                                                              
SRX.TXT                                                                       
                                                                              
     The SIS for files produced during the Surface Reflection investigation.  
There are four data types: antenna pointing (SRA), geometry (SRG),            
images (SRI), and tabulated calibrated observables (SRT).                     
                                                                              
                                                                              
     The following are documents included on this volume because of their

OCCLOGM4.TAB                                                                  
                                                                              
     A table of data acquisition parameters for radio occultation and test    
opportunities between December 2001 and mid-June 2003.  The table gives       
dates and times, DSN antenna numbers, signal-to-noise ratio, and file names   
of the RSR file for each observation opportunity.  There are also terse       
indicators of data quality.  Detached label  OCCLOGM4.LBL  describes the      
format and content of OCCLOGM4.TAB in detail.
