Overview

This disk contains several PDS catalog files which provide high-level descriptions of the Lunar Prospector mission, spacecraft, instruments, and data. Users in search of general information on these topics may wish to view the catalog files. These files are contained in the CATALOG directory under the disk root directory.

The following catalog files are found on this volume. The first table below lists the principal catalogs; the second table lists catalogs for Level 0 data on this disk.

MAG_INST.CAT	Describes the MAG instrument on board the Lunar Prospector spacecraft.
ER_INST.CAT	Describes the ER instrument on board the Lunar Prospector spacecraft.
ER3D_DS.CAT	Describes the dataset containing the ER 3D spectrum data.
ERHRTSDS.CAT	Describes the dataset containing the ER high-resolution time series data.
ERLRTSDS.CAT	Describes the dataset containing the ER low-resolution time series data.
MAG_DS.CAT	Describes the dataset containing the MAG vector data.
MISSION.CAT	Describes the Lunar Prospector mission.
LPHOST.CAT	Describes the Lunar Prospector spacecraft.
TRAJ_DS.CAT	Describes the dataset containing spacecraft position vectors in multiple coordinate systems.
PERSON.CAT	Describes personnel associated with or relevant to the Lunar Prospector project.
REF.CAT	Contains literature references relevant to the information on the disk.

The catalog files in the next table describe the Level 0 data on the disk. (These data originate from the Level 0 Lunar Prospector archive, but are included on this disk to improve the usability of the Level 1 data.)

COM_DS.CAT	Describes the dataset containing the command log files.
