PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2000-06-22 NOTE = "DATAINFO.TXT describes the Magnetometer/Electron Reflectometer (MAG/ER) data available on this volume." END_OBJECT = TEXT END The DATA directory contains the Magnetometer and Electron Reflectometer (MAG/ER) data and some ancillary data. The subdirectories of the DATA directory are: ER_3DIST Contains the ER 3D electron energy spectra data, in | 5 subdirectories: | +- JAN_1998 Data from January 1998. +- FEB_1998 Data from February 1998. +- MAR_1998 Data from March 1998. +- APR_1998 Data from April 1998. +- MAY_1998 Data from May 1998. ER_HI_TS Contains the ER high-resolution (~5 sec) time | series data for two selected energy channels, | in 5 subdirectories: | +- JAN_1998 Data from January 1998. +- FEB_1998 Data from February 1998. +- MAR_1998 Data from March 1998. +- APR_1998 Data from April 1998. +- MAY_1998 Data from May 1998. ER_LO_TS Contains the ER low-resolution (~80 sec) time | series data for all 15 energy channels, | in 5 subdirectories: | +- JAN_1998 Data from January 1998. +- FEB_1998 Data from February 1998. +- MAR_1998 Data from March 1998. +- APR_1998 Data from April 1998. +- MAY_1998 Data from May 1998. MAG Contains the magnetometer (MAG) vector data, | in 5 subdirectories: | +- JAN_1998 Data from January 1998. +- FEB_1998 Data from February 1998. +- MAR_1998 Data from March 1998. +- APR_1998 Data from April 1998. +- MAY_1998 Data from May 1998. ANCIL Contains a table of telemetry outages, which may be useful for the interpretation of the MAG and ER data. Each of the two directories ER_LO_TS and ER_HI_TS also includes a file E_BINS.TAB, which contains the energy bin center values for the data under the directory and the times at which those bin center values become applicable. E_BINS.LBL is the PDS label file for E_BINS.TAB. Note that the energy bins for the data in ER_HI_TS need not be the same as any of the bins for the data in ER_LO_TS. The directory ER_3DIST includes a file THETA.TAB, which contains values of the inclination angle which the detector center makes with the spacecraft spin, corresponding to the phi values in the data under ER_3DIST. The file THETA.LBL is the detached PDS label for THETA.TAB. In addition to accessing data files directly, users with Web browsers can access them via links in four HTML files in the EXTRAS directory (ER3DDATA.HTM, ERHRDATA.HTM, ERLRDATA.HTM and MAGDATA.HTM). These users also can navigate the entire disk using the file AAREADME.HTM in the disk root directory.
