This archive contains calibration information for the MAG, PLS and PWS instruments.

MAG
MAG_CALIB_HIGHRES.TXT contains information on parameters of the calibrations used for the high-resolution (LPW) MAG data throughout Jupiter orbital operations.
MAG_CALIB_SURVEY.TXT cotains information on the parameters of the calibrations used for the real-time (RTS) and optimal averager (OPT AVE) MAG data throughout Jupiter orbital operations.

MAG Events

These files contains listings of spacecraft events that are important to the understanding of the MAG data sets. These events have primarily been stripped out of the As-Run SEF files that are included in the DOCUMENT/PROJECT/AR_SEF directory, then converted into a more human readable form. The data files are named according to the convention ORBXX_MAG_EVENT.TAB (where XX is the orbit number), and are accompanied by a label file (*.LBL) with the same root file name.

MAG data gaps

This file contains listings of data gaps associated with each of the MAG data sets. The data file is a comma-separated, variable record length, ASCII file. The data file (*.CSV) is accompanied by a PDS label which describes it's contents and record structure.

DET_LOOK.TAB detector look directions table
CALIB_*.TAB Calibration factors (CHI values) used to convert counts per second into differential flux.
E_STEP_*.TAB Energies for each detector step
DIFMQ_*.TAB DIFMQ tables provide the connection between energy step, mass step, and M/Q values for the three differential mass spectrometer sensors. Each table is for a different value of M/Q.
INTMQ_*.TAB INTMQ tables provide the connection between energy step, mass step, and M/Q values for the three integral mass spectrometer sensors. Each table is for a different value of M/Q.
M_STEP.TAB Table of the magnet current steps (0-63)


PWS

a procedure has been included for calibrating the full resolution PWS data (DATA/PWS/LPW).
