PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2004-02-01 NOTE = "Text describes the directory contents." END_OBJECT = TEXT END There are 2 data sets for the EPD instrument, Low-Rate Science (LRS) and Real-time (RTS). The LRS data is obtained at flybys, while the RTS data is collected during orbit. The LRS data is contained in the SATELLITES directory while the RTS data is in the SURVEY directory. Each of these is subdivided according to target or orbit. For each set of data, there is a corresponding "corrected" set prefixed with "C_". These corrected data have been adjusted for minute gaps in between detector cycles. The LEM_V5 directory contains code and input data necessary to transform ion data into the particle rest-frame. Additional information about these data is available in the CATALOG and DOCUMENT directories off the root of the archive volume. Files on interest are: DOCUMENT/EPD/EPD.HTM Space Science Reviews instrument paper CATALOG/GO_EPD_HIGHRES_DS.CAT Data set description (LRS) CATALOG/GO_EPD_SURVEY_DS.CAT Data set description (RTS) CATALOG/GALILEO_MISSION_DESC_MSN.CAT Mission description CATALOG/GO_SPACECRAFT_DESC_INST.CAT Instrument Host description CATALOG/GO_REF.CAT EPD References Spacecraft Attitude/Orientation data can be found in the GEOMETRY directory off of the root of the archive volume. Spacecraft trajectory data in a variety of coordinate systems is located in the DATA/TRAJECT directory.
