The EDR data has been divided into five subdirectories
These subdirectories correspond to the year of the
EDR. The data in this directory corresponds to data
from the year 1990

The EDR files contain data acquired by the Galileo Magnetometer
during the Interplanetary Cruise to Jupiter. The data are at
varying resolution depending on the averaging constant applied
to the instrument. The EDR files were delivered to the Galileo
Magnetometer Team by the Galileo project. The EDR files are
given in IBM 370 binary representation and are stored in an
an extremely compact format. The structure of the EDR files is
completely described in the documents GLL280 and GLL640. The
pages pertinent to the MAG description have been scanned
into bit map images (TIFF) that are stored in the
DOCUMENT directory off the root of this volume. The EDR
files are named to correspond to the date of acquisition of the data
The first letter of each file name is T followed by the year
and doy (TYYDOY) that the memory readout of the data was done.
