Non-Standard Practices
The PDS standards do not specify where to store the required MD5 checksum
file for a volume. We have placed it in the root directory of the volume
with the file name "CHECKSUMS.TXT". This may be considered invalid by some
verifiers.
Users are encouraged to provide comments back to the Planetary Plasma
Interactions (PPI) Node of the PDS if errors or omissions are found
either in data or in documentation. Please send comments by e-mail or

Cumulative errata for this volume:
During the course of the MESSENGER mission the EPPS science team may update
previously released data products or documentation; for example, updates may
occur due to changes in calibration data or procedures. Updates will be
reported in this file.
Section A of this file contains an entry for each MESSENGER release with
general information about the contents of the release, in order from newest
to oldest. Updates to previously released files are reported in these
entries, along with any known errata.
Section B of this file contains general notes, if any, concerning the archive
as a whole.

This is the final release for this volume which includes a complete
redelivery of all reduced data products. These have been reprocessed
using the final SPICE parameters, all final calibrations and corrections,
as applicable with the following exceptions:
1) EPS Pitch Angles (EPSP_A) DDR products have been regenerated in the
orbital period, i.e. from Mar 24, 2011 through Mar 17, 2014. This
delivery also includes EPS Pitch Angles products in the new data period,
i.e. from Mar 18, 2014 through Apr 30, 2015 (EOO).
2) There are 2 EPS DDR products that are new, as they have not been
previously delivered:
EPSP_A2011153DDR
EPSP_A2011154DDR
This is due to final processing having used more complete SPICE kernels in the
generation of these products.
3) All EPS DDR products have PRODUCT_VERSION_ID = "V04", including
those in the new data period (and the 2 first-time-released products).
4) There are no EPS Pitch Angles Spectrogram DDR products to be released as
part of the Final Delivery 15.

1) Redelivery of EPS_EPSP products from 2012-03-26 through 2013-03-17 to
remove duplicate record entries that resulted from a processing error.
Gaps noted in this archive are appropriate and fall into two categories:
1) Small periods where there is no EDR data
2) Larger periods where the regions of interest were not observed
Please see the EPPS_DDR_SIS for additional details on new products.
Changes in relevant documents:
Modified the EDR SIS document "EPPS_EDR_SIS" to remove reference to unused
.CSV files and change occurrences of "experimental" to "experiment" in
reference to EDRs.
Modified the DDR SIS to incorporate updates for new and retired products.

2014-07-14 - The data included in this dataset has been reorganized. What
were originally two subdirectories of data, PITCH_ANGLES and
PITCH_ANGLES_SPECTOGRAM have been renamed to DATA (which includes the files
from the PITCH_ANGLES directory) and BROWSE (which includes the files from
the PITCH_ANGLES_SPECTOGRAM directory).
